Weathercock Cottage is a welcoming holiday cottage with three bedrooms sleeping seven and a hot tub, perfectly placed just a mile from the small market town of Sedbergh on the fringe of the Yorkshire Dale's glorious national park in Cumbria. Ideal for exploring both the Dales and the nearby Lake District National Park (Windermere is just twenty miles away), this is an excellent holiday choice for families and friends with superb walking on offer locally and plenty of attractions for day trips out.

Come rain or shine, this lovely self-catering cottage offers everything needed to relax and unwind. Rest your weary muscles at the end of the day in the hot tub whilst soaking in the wonderful views over the surrounding countryside; or relax in front of the flickering flames of the roaring log fire inside.

Sitting at the northern end of the beautiful valley of Dentdale, Sedbergh has immense historic charm with its cobbled alleyways and tiny little streets which are home to a good selection of traditional shops and pubs. Mentioned in the Domesday Book, the town has a long history and lays claim to being England's very own Book Town, adding to its nostalgic charm.

This beautiful landscape offers some of the country's most spectacular walking and its highest waterfall, namely Cautley Spout. It was a much loved haunt of the famous fell walker Alfred Wainwright and guests staying at Weathercock Cottage can enjoy easy access onto the Dales Way directly from the cottage. There is also golf, cycling, caving at Ingleton and water sports at Killington Lake.

Other popular attractions include the nearby pretty cobbled village of Dent (with the highest mainline station in the country which is a stopping point for the famous Settle to Carlisle Railway), and Fairfield Mill Arts and Heritage Centre.

With its big garden (including hot tub), stunning scenery, lovely walks and plethora of attractions for day trips out, Weathercock Cottage is a popular choice whether you want to relax or have an activity-filled holiday.
